Flawless experience and peace of mind
I got my PPL at bird dog and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience there. Every CFI is very knowledgeable about the curriculum and provided a great experience. The aircraft are very well maintained and the facilities are excellent. Overall Bird dog is a great place to study aviation.

After a rough experience with flight training at OU last year, I was starting to question whether flying was really for me, but everything changed when I found Bird Dog. Even while I was still attending OU in the spring, Bird Dog welcomed me and gave me the fresh start I needed. Their approach to training was personal, flexible, and genuinely student-focused. Within months I earned my Private Pilot License, something that had felt just out of reach a semester earlier. This summer, I kept the momentum going and finished my Instrument Rating with their continued support. The instructors truly care about your progress. Got my PPL through Bird Dog and had a very good experience. Scheduling flights, your own pace of training and ease of use were key factors. Sierra is a great instructor and will get you through PPL and Instrument.

Completing your Private Pilot Certificate while working a full-time job IS POSSIBLE at Bird Dog. I came into the aviation scene with little experience behind the yoke. Seeking my Private Pilot Certificate, the only time to complete this milestone was during my summer break for university. The instructors made time day after day to help me achieve this goal. They motivated me to learn and practice safe flying principles in favor of rushing training and compromising valuable experience. I feel proficient and confident in the skies, and I cannot thank Bird Dog enough.

This is easily the best flight school in DFW! I’m privileged to call myself a private pilot due to the knowledge, flexibility, and care the instructors took to ensure I achieved my goals. I was having rservations about flight schools as I had a bad experience being older. Bird Dog was suggested by a friend and Madison took me on my first flight and was an amazing experience. Helped me fa e my fear of a few things and I cannot say enough about these guys. Small, self paced, well kept planes, ease of scheduling. For personalized flight training to your dynamics, you won't find a better flight school.
